About The Mexico Project

A family of Rotary- and ESRAG-affiliated initiatives working together across the U.S.–Mexico border — because rivers, pollinators, and coastlines don’t stop at a line on a map.

Why “The Mexico Project”

Over the past several years, a growing circle of Rotary clubs, ESRAG (Environmental Sustainability Rotary Action Group) volunteers, scientists, and community partners have launched a series of independent but deeply connected initiatives across Mexico and the U.S.–Mexico border region: restoring the Tijuana River Estuary, protecting pollinator corridors from Canada to South America, bringing solar-powered ice and clean water to an isolated fishing village in Baja California Sur, and building the Rotary partnerships that make all of it possible.

The Mexico Project exists to tell that story in one place — so funders, volunteers, Rotary clubs, and curious visitors can see the whole picture and find the project where they can help most.
